Our Start

When Co-founder & CEO, Justin Bakes, launched Forward in Boston, MA to expand access to capital to underserved small businesses in the US, the company experienced immediate growth. Justin, who’s also fluent in Spanish, reached out to a connection in Santiago, DR to open an office there. This office has evolved into our power-house operational hub that has helped Forward deliver the award-winning service our customers know and expect.

Workspace and Location

While we offer workplace flexibility for most employees, we also have a modern, fully-equipped office in Santiago de los Caballeros. As the largest city in the Cibao region, Santiago is filled with restaurants, retail shops, and other corporate offices. If you’re commuting to our office, you’ll find that it’s easily accessible by car or bus, and that it’s worth the trip! Our employees are excited about their work and to drive our mission to build a world-class fintech.
